A turkey for you, a turkey for me

Happy Thanksgivin ya'll.

Had a wonderful day with family and my boo, did lots of cooking, cleaning, and eating of course. Loved today.

-Thankful to be blessed with such an amazing family. And not to mention, we're all amazing cooks. Everything was made from scratch. Nothing from a box. Seriously delicious. Scrumpdidyliumptious.

And of course, I ate way too much. But that's what Thanksgiving is for right?

I'll see ya at the gym.

Thankful 23

Tomorrow is Turkey Day and I'm so ridiculously excited.

-Today I'm thankful for sunshine. It's beautiful, warming rays and it's uncanny ability to warm my innerness (<--- not even a word, I know).

-I'm thankful for eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that loves. I'm blessed to be able to see this beautiful world, hear kind words spoken, and to be able to feel love ♥

Thankful 18, 19, 20, 21 & 22 Whew!

I like playing catch-up. Can ya tell?

-I'm thankful for clean running water all the time. I fill my water mug (yes I have a water mug) up multiple times throughout the day, from a water purifier. Spoiled much? My work also supplies us with countless bottles of water (don't tell the greenies. we use wayyy too much plastic around here.) I can take a warm shower or bath whenever I please, and the warm water washes my dishes and clothes. Living in such a beautiful place with modern technology is easy to take for granted. I'm super thankful for running water.

-Thankful for opportunity. I have been so blessed in my life with this. I feel like things have happened for me when I have needed them to, and the opportinity has always been right. Life is such a blessing.

-Definitely thankful for t.v. What would my life be without Modern Family, The Office, Gossip Girl, Sons of Anarchy, Keeping Up With the Kardashians (I know, I'm horrible), 70's show, Tosh.0, and of course Glee. I don't have much time for t.v. but when I do, it's at least a 4 hour ritual. It's bad. I know.

-Clean sheets. Last night I got out of the shower into nice, clean, warm sheets. There isn't much that tops that.

-Thankful for my sisters. Annie & Sophie are honestly and truly the most beautiful girls I know. Inside and out. They are my best friends. Annie is so tender hearted and cares about everyone. She is a freaking princess and thinks everyone should grace the ground she walks on. And I wasn't saying that was a bad thing. Sophie is shy and quiet at first, but get her going, and she won't stop talking. She's gentle and strong all at the same time which makes her an awesome gymnast. I watch them each day in the choices they make, and I'm so proud to call myself their sister.

-Pinterest. This a new thing for me and it has the potential to be the answer to all of my prayers.

happy tuesday.

Thankful 17

Thankful that my parents let me do my own thing in high school while still parenting from afar. I feel like I learned SO much more that way. If they would have been like other typical parents in Utah and pulled the reins too tight, I'm almost positive I would have been a huge, raving, rebel. And only the Lord knows what hell I would've caused. So I'm thankful my parents let me experience life through trial and error.

I'm thankful Cody puts up with whiny old me, and drove over to see me uber late last night cuz I missed him. He's a keeper.

Thankful for nail polish remover. Cuz this chipped nail polish has gots to go.

Thankful for my freedom to choose.

I'm thankful for my hair. There is so much I wish were different about it, but after working with cancer patients and watching two of my grandparents suffer through chemo, I'm thankful for a full head of hair.

Thankful I'm thankful!

Grace & Liam

Choph and I got to play house this weekend with our cute little cousins, Liam & Grace.
I love them, but this weekend helped me see how unprepared I am to be a momma. I can most certainly wait to have my own little chillins.
Despite my own personal revelation, we had so much fun with them! Sophie got up there early Friday morning and I followed later Friday evening. It was Bill's birthday weekend, so Bel & Bill took off to have some birthday fun. (Don't worry Bill, I won't tell how old you are!) I was greeted with pizza and movies, no better way to kick off the weekend.
Saturday we drove out to Elizabeth's house and played with cousins there, and relaxed. She of course made yummy chocolate chip cookies and we snuggled up and watched the Lion King. Just as we were leaving it started to snow, so naturally Liam and Grace wanted to go sledding at the neighbors. Soph was a trooper and geared up with them. After some hot cocoa and dry clothes, we decided to head out for dinner and a movie. Pei Wei had been calling my name, so that's where we dined. Kids chose the movie, Puss in Boots, which wasn't too bad. I'm so over all of the Shrek sequels and spin offs, that I wasn't so sure about it.

Liam is such a Goof
Gracie couldn't stop laughing.
Sunday we woke up, went to church for like half a second, and then bought decorations and pies for when Mom and Pop came home. We drove past McD's on 21st and the kids were dying. You can't tell from the pic, but someones truck caught on fire while going through the drive-thru, and then in turn, burned the whole building. It was great. Something like that would totally happen to me.

Anways, we went back home to decorate and had so much fun. Bill and Bel arrived just a few minutes after us.
Then Choph and I were back to the airport. Like I've said before, and I'll say it a million times more, I love our flight bennies. Can't live without em.

Just had to add this last random, these are the 2 things Cod lives for. The Bears, and his puppy, Lach. His real name is Urlacher after the Bears infamous Line Backer. See how much he loves the Bears?

More

So much for posting every day huh? I'm still trying to figure out how to post from my phone, so until I'm able to do so, you'll have to make do with what ya get.
But here are more thankfuls:

I'm thankful to have a car that runs, and keeps me warm.

Thankful for modern technology that provides us with so much at our fingertips. Sometimes too much.

Thankful that my parents have stuck together through the thick and thin. So thankful to have them both still together. Divorce is on the rise.

Thankful for this blog, Twitter, and Facebook so I can spill my guts to all of you and you all have to listen :)

Thankful for a warm bed to sleep in each night.

I'm thankful for a precious, hyper, cuddly, adventurous puppy to keep Cody and I (mostly Cody) entertained.

Thankful for lunch dates with my Momma. Don't think I could survive without them.

I'm thankful for my Grandma Odette, my last living Grandparent. She makes sure my family and I are always taken care of, and always feeds us yummy food. I love her more than words can say.

SO thankful for comfy clothes. I live in sweats and baggy clothes. Especially with this cold weather, that's all I want to wear. Poor Cody puts up with my ugliness everyday, and he still manages to love me. Too bad he doesn't have a choice. HA.

Thankful that Cody has moved on from his 'mountain man' stage. He looks so sexy with longer hair and a little bit of scruff. None of that nasty, full scraggly beard, and bald head look. I'm lovin what he's got goin this week. And let me tell you, it changes weekly.

Thankful for my Grandparents that have passed on. My mom's parents, John and Nada Morgan, were my ultimate examples. They showed me how to love everyone, be responsible, and of course, cook yummy food. My dad's Dad, Ray Odette, was the one who saw my potential, and always made sure I was trying my hardest, and living up to the Odette last name. There isn't a day that passes that I don't miss each of them. I wish so badly that they could be on this earth to watch their grandchildren grow up, attend family functions, and just be there for the good times. But then I remember, that they are here with us, watching from afar. I know I said it earlier, but I truly miss each of them. Heaven is a better place with all of them, and I can't wait to see them again.

I'm thankful for eternal families and knowing I'll see my loved ones again.

Thankful that I'm healthy, happy, and here.

Thankful

Today, I'm thankful for flight bennies. Yay! Not only do they allow for random, spur of the moment trips to anywhere, but they also let my immediate family and I travel to see our other loved ones who aren't so close.
BUTTTTT...a very big but...without my momma, we wouldn't even know what a free flight felt like. So I'm thankful for her too. On the downside, my bennies end when I turn 23. Boo to that. I need to find a job at SkyWest or make my main squeeze find a job there. They are way too good to live without.
So, here's to more free flights for a whole other year! (almost)

Thankful ♥

So, I'm copying everyone on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs and I'm going to write one thing I'm thankful/grateful for everyday. Too bad I don't do this all the time, I take too many things for granted!

But I need to play catch-up so this post might get a little long and boring. You were warned.

Nov. 1st: I'm thankful to have a job. This economy is so unstable and un-predictable, and I'm thankful to have a job when many are without. I know I complain about how early I have to be there, how I get called in on my days off, and how crazy some of ladies I work with are, but I truly am happy that I have a steady income.

Nov. 2nd: Hand Sanitizer. It saves me when I'm at work. I alternate that in between hand washing, and it saves my hands. Soap dries out my hands like no joke, so it's nice to have yummy smelling bath and body works hand sanitizer. Yay.

Nov. 3rd: My dysfunctional family. They are my rock. Regardless of how dysfunctional we all are, I couldn't make it a single day without them. They are my support, my allies, and my best friends. I love them with every fiber of my being, and I'm so blessed. We were meant to be together, despite our craziness. I'm excited I can be with them forever.

Nov. 4th: I'm grateful for nail polish. Such a funny thing to be thankful for, but it's true. I change it frequently, and it makes me feel girly and pretty. So lame. I know. Something about a fresh coat of nail polish just about does it for me.

Nov. 5th: I'm thankful for school. I can't believe I just typed that..but deep down, I'm thankful I can be attending school and furthering my education. I have been able to attend on scholarships, so I've been lucky enough avoid student loans!...(for now)

Nov. 6th: Thomas Cody Randall. Where to even begin. This boy has my heart, and I don't think I'll be getting it back. He is such a punk, and thinks he's the biggest comedian. I love that about him. He is a hard worker, he looks for the best in others, and he's very determined. When we first started 'dating' I swore I wouldn't give in to his charm or his gorgeous blue eyes. I was so wrong. We've definitely had our fair share of fights, and it's been a battle coming this far. But let me just say it's a battle I'm thankful we fought. We've had (and still have) some non-believers, nay sayers, and people who think we're crazy, but that comes with everything in life. So, I'm looking forward to many more memories to make with him, and I'm thankful for him being him. I'm in l-o-v-e.

Nov. 7th: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It's truth and simplicity is inspiring. I love the gospel.

Nov. 8th: I'm thankful for calculators. Yup. Calculators. My math career would be that much worse without one. "6 times 8 is?"...um, hold on, 36? Let me get my calculator..oh, 48. Yeah, 48.

And today, Nov. 9th: I'm thankful for Starbucks and their amazing deliciousness. Chai. Tea. Latte. THANK YOU.

Until tomorrow,
xoxoxoxo
