If you haven't already noticed there hasn't been much activity going on over here lately. 

 

Don't fret. I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Thanks so much for everyone's concern. Ha.

 

Just been slacking in the blogging part of my life. Not to worry though, you haven't missed out on much. Promise.

 

-We're still living in the same town-home that I cannot seem to make into a home. It's weird.

 

-We're seriously considering another addition to our little family. This addition will have a wet nose, slobbery mouth, and 4 cute little paws. Sorry, no babe for us. Yet.

 

-We're still working the same jobs and going to school. We're so boring. However, Cody has a job interview on Friday that could possibly put an end to us pinching pennies every month. If he gets the job, I'm not sure that we'll know what to do with a few extra bucks. Jk who am I kidding?

-We're coming up on our 1 year anniversary pretty quick. Crazy that I'm still living and so is he. But seriously.

January.

Our January was busy. But then again, when aren't we busy?

1. We rang in the New Year with my Dad for a bit then with our good friends Brodie & Karli and Cade & Tori. We had so many laughs about inappropriate things..Cody's favorite.

2. I started school again. Ugh.

3. Been to LOTS of doctors. I think we've finally figured out what is going on with Cody.

4. Been gym regulars. Finally back in to the swing of things.

5. Cody got a promotion at work. It's been a long time coming for him. He works so hard and it's about time he got some recognition for it.

6. FINALLY starting to get my home in order. Kinda.

7. Cody is still without his beloved Tim Riggins. Tragic. (suuuper sarcastic.)

8. I was a rockin' wife and got Cody tickets to see George Strait. He's told me from the day we started dating that it was one of his dreams to see 'King George' in concert. I was never a country music fan and Cody has converted me. And to be honest, the concert was actually fun! Ha, who'd have guessed?

January was fun, but we're definitely ready for February. V-day is coming up..and I'm so not getting my hopes up. Cody is a sweetheart but he doesn't get the whole Valentines day thing. Buggy, but it is what it is. Hah. JK.

Because I know all you faithful followers are dying to know what's what in our lives.

-Tim Riggins (the truck) is still under construction. He's been out of commission since late October and we still don't have him back. Allstate Insurance screwed us.

-Urlacher is a closet sock eater. He manages to snarf one down when we're not looking. Sounds sketchy, I know. But seriously they don't even phase him. Like, it's bad. If either of us is missing a sock, it's the dog's fault.

-We had a super fun Christmas. We were in a snow covered cabin in Duck Creek with my family. So super fun. It was nice to get away and just be with family. Lach loved the snow. Like LOVED the snow.

-New Years was fun too. Caught up with some old friends and laughed all night. Cody actually kissed me at midnight in front of his friends. Those that know him, know that is a huge deal. I'm surprised home boy even kissed me at the altar.

-School started on Monday. That's all I have to say about that.

-I'm trying to get my house together. Cuz right now, it doesn't feel like a home at all. I need some things to spice it up and make it look nicer. The stupid white walls will be the death of me.

-Once again, trying the gym thing and eating healthy thing. Eat Clean, Train Mean, Look Lean. Muscle IS sexy. Those that say otherwise..

Not much else is new. Taking things one day at a time

Resolutionist

I loved 2012.
A lot of memories were made and I have much to look back on and be thankful for.
I planned the wedding of my dreams with my wonderful Momma, married my sweet love, honeymooned on the beaches of Mexico, got my first tattoo with my bestie, and journeyed through the first 6 months of marriage. 

It was a great year. Amazing year. But I'm definitely ready for a fresh start.

I'm welcoming 2013 with open arms.

-a skinny, healthy me.
-more family time.
-family reunion on the Beach in June.
-celebrating our first year of marriage
-maybe an addition to our family?....... no. not a baby. another puppy. you creeps.
-a sister trip?
-start running.
-maybe turn the running into a half marathon? or something cool like that.
-the continuation of healthy, happy, lives for my friends and family
-another tattoo.
-learning to be more punctual
-starting new traditions with Cody
-healthy skin, hair, and nails.
-less debt.
-to be happy. always.

Oh. Hey. Hi.

This morning I woke up annoyed.

Couldn't be that my alarm buzzes at 4 a.m.

  

I was supposed to get up early and hit the gym. Hah.

But I was typical Carly and couldn't fathom leaving my warm bed, my love, and my pup. So there I laid.

Finally got out of bed in barely enough time to make it to work. 

Minimal make up and top knots have been an everyday thing lately. And some how I still think it's okay?

Get to work. Barely.

Was greeted with, "You came to work with wet hair? You're brave!"

My hair wasn't wet.

IT WAS GREASY.

Pulled back in a braid in all it's greasy-ness.

I thought the dry shampoo I spritzed on my hair before I left was enough. Very clearly, I was wrong.

Oh so wrong.

Oops.

So, moral of the story? Wash your freaking hair. I can go up to 5 days without washing it, and I think that's an accomplishment. Cuz washing it every single day is bad for it. So bad! And my showers are so much faster if I don't have to wash my hair. Hah, that sounds so nasty. But fer reals! Want healthier hair? Don't wash it everyday. But I guess I should've washed mine today. Ugh.

I promise I'm a clean person. Pinky promise.

A Whole Lotta..

Lotta updating. But what's new?

Soo..the KB challenge. Where oh where do I begin? First off, I have a hard time fessing up. Like this for example. I feel super duper stupid trying to explain to the blogging world why I can't, for the life of me, stick to this easy plan. Makes me kinda feel like a failure. So it's hard for me to fess up and say I'm having a rough time with it. And I honestly don't know why. When I first started training with Tam a year and a half ago (holy wow), she implemented this almost exact same eating plan. And I had no issues with it. I was a rock star. But for some reason, this time it's different. Not sure why. I've decided it's a day to day thing. You have to decide each day how it's going to go. It's mental too. You have to already have your mind made up and go from there. I'm still trying though. And especially with the holidays, it's gonna be harder, but I understand it's a lifestyle change. And that's the hardest part. So here's to more clean eating.

School is almost over for the semester. Halle-freaking-lujah. That's all.

The Dixie Flyers took State this past weekend! The first time since 1998. About time boys. Not only am I a Dixie High alum like most of the Odette family, but my Grandpa, Ray Odette, was an infamous celebrity of Dixie High. He coached many many kids throughout those years and left a legacy. My dad has followed in his footsteps and has found joy in coaching youth, and he is one of the Dixie High coaches. Needless to say this past weekend was a big win for the Odette family and we know Grandpa Ray celebrated with us.

I have the BEST m.i.l. in the world. Hands down. I kid you not, no other compares. No battle. She seriously is AMAZE. She's always the first one to offer help and always makes sure we don't go without. She is God sent. When I count my blessings she is one of the first.

So far so good with my iPhone. I'm not as imcompetent as I used to be, and I'm making progress. You should be so proud. And it does lots of cool stuff. And I can take fun pics. Wanna see?
